WILLIAM GORTON, tenor, has performed in numerous engagements around the USA and Europe. A solid and versatile singer, Mr. Gorton has appeared with Opera Pacific, Festival Opera, Sacramento Opera, Rogue Opera, Pacific Repertory Opera, Orchestra X of Houston, the Stockton Symphony, and at the Opera Center of the San Francisco Opera. Mr. Gorton has recorded with the Russian National Orchestra. A recipient of several awards, including being a finalist in the National Opera Association competition and Merola Opera Program auditions; Mr. Gorton was also Apprentice Artist with the Santa Fe Opera. Mr. Gorton recently sang the role of Don Jose in Carmen with Stockton Opera and the Bear Valley Music Festival, and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Bay Shore Lyric Opera. Look for the upcoming release of “When Love Goes Wrong,” a recording of dramatic opera duets made with his wife Deirdra, and accompanied by Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra.
