ROSALEE SZABO

ROSALEE SZABO has sung extensively in recital, concert, opera and music theatre. She has performed key roles with San Francisco Lyric Opera, as well as Berkeley Opera, Oakland Opera, West Bay Opera, Cinnabar Opera Theatre, Sonoma City Opera, Canada Opera, CSM Opera, San Francisco City Opera, Golden West Opera and Golden Gate Opera, including Carmen, Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro), Madame Flora (The Medium), Mother (The Consul), Golde (Fiddler on the Roof), Starenka (Jenufa), Antonia's Mother (Tales of Hoffman), Ursula (Beatrice and Benedick), Madelon (Andrea Chenier), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Erda (Das Rheingold and Siegfried), Fricka (Das Rheingold and Walkure), Principessa (Suor Angelica), Frugola (Il Tabarro), Emilia (Otello), Witch (Hansel and Gretel), and Flora (La Traviata). She has also song Carmen and Azucena (Il Trovatore). In concert she enjoys singing the works of Bach, Barber, Gershwin, Mahler, Verdi and Wagner.
