Cast Biographies
ROGER McCRACKEN

ROGER McCracken, a bass, has appeared in leading roles for companies throughout the United States, including those in San José, Tulsa, Eugene, San Luis Obispo, Reno, Boise and Oakland, also with West Bay Opera and Pocket Opera. Among his notable roles are Sarasto, Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Don Pasquale, Leporello and Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Kecal (Bartered Bride), Don Alfonso (Cosi fan tutte), Pater Guardiano (la Forza del destino) and many others. Recently Mr. McCracken was heard as the Father in Oakland Opera's production of La Belle et la Bête by Glass. An accomplished poet, Mr. McCracken is working on his first opera as a composer. He is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory and did his graduate studies at San Francisco Conservatory, where he studied with Sylvia Anderson.
