PERCY MARTINEZ, Peruvian-born tenor, recently finished the Apprentice Artist program with the Santa Fe Opera. This Spring he appeared as Pinkerton in San Francisco Lyric Opera's Madama Butterfly. Previously Mr. Martinez made his Sarasota Opera debut singing the role of Federeico in Verdi's Stiffelio. He has appeared with numerous organizations in Southern California, most recently appearing as Rodolfo in a concert performance of Puccini's La Bohème with OperaWorks. In the San Francisco Bay Area Mr. Martinez has appeared with San Francisco Lyric Opera, San Francisco Opera à la Carte, Bayshore Lyric Opera, Berkeley Opera and Lyric Theatre of San José. He made his European debut in 2003 as Fracasso in a concert version of Mozart's La Finta Semplice in Florence, Italy.
