MICHAEL P. MENDELSOHN

MICHAEL P. MENDELSOHN recently sang Alfred in Northbay Opera’s Die Fledermaus, Normanno in West Bay Opera’s Lucia di Lammermoor and Spoletta in Tosca with Pacific Repertory Opera.  He debuted with Opera San José as Benvolio in Romeo et Juliette. Other roles include Monostatos (The Magic Flute), Peter Quint (The Turn of the Screw), The Devil (The Soldiers’ Tale), Pedrillo (Abduction from the Seraglio), Spalanzani (Tales of Hoffmann) and Don Basilio (The Marriage of Figaro).  He has also performed Ferrando (Cosi Fan Tutti), Dr. Caius (Falstaff), Roderigo (Otello), Tinca (Il Tabarro), Mime (Das Rhinegold), Goro (Madama Butterfly) and title roles in Bernstein’s Candide and Offenbach’s Bluebeard. Mr. Mendelsohn’s oratorio repertoire is also extensive. In addition to his singing career, Mr. Mendelsohn is a Voice-Over Artist. Among many awards and distinctions he has been a Gong Show Winner.
