MATT LOVELL, bass-baritone, has recently received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.  Some past roles include Dr. Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro, Henry Davis and George Jones in Street Scene, Leporello in Don Giovanni and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  Also seen on the concert stage, Mr. Lovell has been featured as a soloist in works by Mozart, Poulenc, as well as the humorous P.D.Q. Bach.  Upcoming engagements include the role of Paris in Berkeley Opera’s recreation of Roméo et Juliette.
