JOANNE UM received her bachelors’ degree at the University of Southern California and masters from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. School productions and honors include the Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel, soprano soloist for Sing it your-self-Messiah at Davies Symphony Hall, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Mademoiselle Silberklang in Impresario, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, feautured soloist in the Thornton School of Music Dicken's Dinner, and awarded Department Honors for her outstanding achievement in voice. Ms. Um has most recently appeared as the soprano soloist for Faure’s Requiem with Oakland Symphony chorus, for Mozart’s Exultate Jubilate for Aineo Orchestra, the Five-year-old in The Proposal with BASOTI , and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Despina in Cosi fan tutte with Pacific Union Concert series.
