JO VINCENT PARKS

JO VINCENT PARKS hails from Washington D.C., and moved to the Bay Area in 1987.  Jo is under the tutelage of Maestro Salvatore D’Aura.  He has directed, conducted and starred in theaters all around the Bay Area.  Some of his numerous appearances have included leading roles in Bay Shore Lyric Opera Company’s productions of La Bohème, Le Nozze di Figaro, and La Traviata; the nasty villains in Berkeley Opera’s Tales of Hoffmann and Iago from Otello; San Francisco Lyric Opera’s productions of I Pagliacci and Tosca where he became the hunchback, Tonio and the coolly murderous Scarpia; you may have also seen him in SF City College’s Summer Opera productions of Frida where he played Diego Rivera, Stephan Kumalo in Kurt Weill’s Lost in the Stars, or most recently in the title role of Sweeney Todd.  Other leading roles have included Sky masterson in Guys and Dolls and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
