Cast Biographies
JENNIFER LIEN

JENNIFER LIEN, a soprano, began her vocal studies at Dartmouth College, performing in recitals, oratorios, musicals and opera workshops.  After graduation she returned to sunny Singapore, where she was raised, becoming a soloist with the award-winning Singapore Philharmonic Chorus and making her Singapore Lyric Opera debut as Papagena in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.  She also sang the role of Princess Stephanie in their production of Sigmund Romberg’s The Student Prince.  Since arriving in the Bay Area in 2000 Ms. Lien has sung the roles of Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Laetitia in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief for Summer Music West and IVI Opera respectively.  This is her San Francisco Lyric Opera debut.  Ms. Lien studied in London with the late Welsh soprano Mary Thomas and is currently at the San Francisco Conservatory working with Herman le Roux.
