JIMMY KANSAU is a Venezuelan tenor with numerous roles to his credit, notably as a soloist in Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Saint-Saen's Christmas Oratorio. Also Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus for Oregon's Rogue Valley Opera, Borsa in Rigoletto for The Bear Valley Summer Festival, Tamino in The Magic Flute for the Internazionale Institutto d'opera di Roma, Judge Danforth in The Crucible, Rodolfo in La Bohème and Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore both for San Francisco Opera Guild. Mr. Kansau collaborated with the acclaimed pianist, Peggy Salkind, in Beethoven's An Die ferme Geliebte. For San Francisco Lyric Opera he has sung Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore, Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte and Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola.
