INGRID YOUNG

Hailed by the Washington Post as "vocally and dramatically powerful," mezzo-soprano INGRID YOUNG's career is off to a promising start. A resident of New York, this vital young perfomer has engaged audiences from the East Coast to the West with her spirited portrayal of roles such as Mrs. Ott (Susannah, Dorian Opera Theater), Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro, Brooklyn Music School), Sesto (La clemenza di Tito, University of Maryland Opera Studio), and Ma Moss (The Tender Land, BASOTI), Ms. Young has also been heard as the alto soloist in Handel's Messiah with the East Port Messiah Festival. She made her San Francisco Lyric Opera debut in Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
