FABIENNE WOOD

FABIENNE WOOD Franco-British soprano is a native of London, England, and has sung all around the Bay Area, performing the roles of Valencienne in The Merry Widow, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi, Anne Trulove in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, Roland in Offenbach’s Les Bavards, Laeticia in The Old Maid and the Thief and Mother in Hansel and Gretel as well as Shian in the world premiere of McLeod’s Black Harvest in London.  Ms. Wood holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and has completed internships with the Bay Area Summer Opera Theatre Institute, the Jarvis Conservatory in Napa and OperaWorks in Los Angeles.  Her oratorio repertoire includes Fauré’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Mozart’s Missa Brevis.  Ms. Wood is delighted to be making her San Francisco Lyric Opera debut singing her first Verdi role.
