ERINA NEWKIRK has sung leading operatic roles with San Jose Opera, San Francisco Opera Guild, Bayshore Lyric Opera, West Bay Opera Guild, Oakland Opera, Livermore Opera, Townsend Opera, Opera North, Opera in the Ozarks, and Lamplighters to name a few.  Ms. Newkirk has received awards in seeral competitions including The Metropolitan Opera Competition – Pacific Region (3rd), Leontyne Price National Competition (2nd), Orlando Opera’s Refuss Singing Actor Competition (Finalist), Marin Symphony Scholarship Audition (1st place), National Society of Arts and Letters (1st place) and the N.A.T.S. Competition (1st place – Art Song Division).  Ms. Newkirk’s vocal arts scholarships include The Philanthropic Ventures Foundation Award and The W.E.B. Dubois Fellowship for two consecutive years.  Symphony engagements as soloist include The Lancaster Music Festival and The Marin Symphony.
