DARYNN ZIMMER
This season DARYNN ZIMMER appeared as Mimi in La Boheme with Opera Tampa. Her South American orchestral debut was in Rio de Janeiro for Mahler’s Fourth Symphony with the Petrobras Sinfonica Pro Musica. Leading contemporary and traditional operatic roles performed in the U.S. and abroad include: Spoleto Festivals, U.S. and Italy (Philip Glass’ ‘Hydrogen Jukebox’), Greensboro Opera (Norina), Skylight Opera Theater (Melisande), Pennsylvania Opera Theater (Poppea), and the Metro Lyric Opera (Gilda, Marguerite, Lauretta). She performed with Regina Resnik Presents ‘The Classic Kurt Weill’ in San Francisco, and ‘Covert or Convert’ in New York City, filmed for CUNY TV. Ms. Zimmer’s debut at Carnegie Hall was in Mozart’s ‘Great’ Mass in C  with David Randolph and the St. Cecilia Chorus and Orchestra. She can be heard on her distinguished debut solo disc, Oiseau Bleu, New Albion Records, and as ‘Mona’ on the world premier recording of Daron Hagen’s, Bandanna, on Albany Records.
