DUANA DEMUS last sang with the Lyric Opera in Un Ballo in Maschera. Notable roles include Aida, Susannah and Suor Angelica, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Laurie in The Tenderland. Ms. Demus has appeared with Los Angeles Opera, Crystal Cathedral Orchestra, Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, Stockton Symphony, Diablo Symphony, and Stanislaus Symphony. Concerts include soloist in Verdi’s Requiem, Bach’s St. John Passion, Honneggaer’s King David, Mozart’s Requiem, and world premieres of Psalm 27 by Stephen Rothstein and Brett Banducci’s Trios Poems by Guillaume Apollinaire. Competition awards include 1st Place in the West Bay Opera Superstar, National Winner Saritelli-DiPanni Bel Canto, the Fé Bland Foundation, Loren Zachary and 1st place in NATS. Ms. Demus holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from UCLA.
