Cast Biographies
CLEA NEMETZ

CLEA NEMETZ is a mezzo-soprano and currently a Doctor of Musical Arts student at Colorado University.  Previous roles include:  Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Bianca in The Rape of Lucretia, La Principessa in Suor Angelica, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Jo and Aunt Cecilia (cover) in Little Women, Mère Marie in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Flora in La Traviata, Katisha (cover) in the Mikado.  Ms. Nemetz’s oratorio work includes:  alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah (Cheyenne Symphony), and Delila in Handel’s Samson (Boston Cecilia), Zita in Gianni Schicchi, the Mother in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, and the alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem (Boulder Philharmonic).  In 2000, Ms. Nemetz was awarded the Alberta Arts Scholarship of $10,000 and recently was a Metropolitan Opera Regional Finalist in San Francisco.  She just finished a young artist program with Cleveland Lyric Opera.  A native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Clea is both a Canadian and American citizen.
