CODRUT BIRSAN

CODRUT BIRSAN won first prize at the Romanian National Competition at age 14. He attended the Conservatory of Music Brasov, where he studied piano with Vlad Dimulescu and later sang at the Conservatory of Music Brasov with Gheorghe Rosu. He graduated from the Academy of Music Bucharest with Georgeta Stoleriu. Mr. Birsan was invited to join several opera companies as a soloist, including Brasov, Constanta, and Bucharest. He has performed recitals in Romania, Spain, Germany, Japan, and Hungary. He was invited by scholarship to the Akademy of Musik Karlsruhe in Germany and the summer opera institute "BASOTI," where he sang the role of Idomeneo and Ferrando (Così fan Tutte) and Lensky (Eugene Onegin) with North Bay Opera.
