BRIAN THORSETT, tenor, is in demand throughout California for opera, oratorio and recital. During the 2006-7 season, Brian undertakes Tamino in Die Zauberflote, Lyonel in Martha, Camille in Merry Widow and Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville. Concert engagements include Mozart's Mass in C minor, Evangelist in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion as well as recitals in San Francisco (AVEDIS Chamber Music Festival, San Francisco Festival of Song) and Carmel (Carmel Music Society Competition Grand Prize Winner). This past summer, Brian was an artist with San Francisco Opera Center's Merola Program, performing Number 5 in Susa's Transformations. In past summers he performed at Music Academy of the West, singing Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte and Guardia in Rota’s Il Capello di Paglia di Firenze.
