Cast Biographies

NATHANIEL HACKMANN made his role and company debuts with San Francisco Lyric Opera as Marcello in La Bohème. Favorite roles include Silvio (Pagliacci), Count (Nozze di Figaro), Schicchi (Gianni Schicchi), and Dandini (La Cenerentola). He has recently completed the prestigious Merola Opera Program in which he created the role of Raul in Pasatieri's world premiere of Hotel Casablanca and "he made the most of it. Everything came out of him in a flash, from his impetuous vocal lines to the way he whipped out his pistol" said the San Francisco Chronicle, who also described his performances as "muscular" and "moving." He also performed as Guglielmo in another company and role debut with Pocket Opera.
