Cast Biographies

MADELAINE MATEJ made her stage debut in October of 2007 as Flora in Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw with Oakland Opera Theater. She is a 2007 graduate of San Francisco Girls Chorus (SFGC), through which she was a demonstration participant in the ChorusAmerica Conducting Master Class and in the Kodály Summer Institute workshop at Holy Names University. She has studied classical guitar since 2003. She shuns sports but is a Mathletes team member at Mill Valley Middle School. Ms. Matej is also an FCC-licensed ham radio operator and a sworn member of Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) and enjoys helping at public service events with Marin Amateur Radio Society.
